The Social Hub for home educated children
What is THE HIVE?
The Hive is a co-study hub where children follow their own curriculum supervised by our on-site coach, make a lot of new friends from all over the world, and become part of a community.
We designed a tailored environment for home-educated children to start strong in their self-directed educational journey.
At the Hive they will feel safe to be themselves, experience joy in learning, explore their interests, and feel motivated and inspired to take on a meaningful journey in their lives.
More about the HIVE
The Hive's Philosophy
At the Hive, we acknowledge the benefits of homeschooling and unschooling, and the challenges involved for the children and parents.
We understand that childhood is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace that is right for each individual child.
The Hive wants to provide the children with a social environment where they can share their learning experience with kids from all over the world, work on individual projects, participate in or design workshops, and discover their interests.
The Hive is their second home where they can be themselves and develop their talents.

The Hive's Learning Coach:
Our on-site coach is helping each of the children achieve success in their curriculum and personal study projects.
At entering The Hive, together with the child and parents, goals will be set and challenges mapped out.
Every week, the child will set up a "To do list" and our coach will suppport with creating a schedule and identifying priorities.
Throughout the day, the coach will check regularly if each child is advancing positively through their project. In case a child is encountering difficulties in one of their study topics, our coach will show and teach them the tools they need on how and where solutions can be found.
Every morning upon entering and every evening before going home, together with our coach, the children will work in their Hive journals, to express how they feel going through their learning journeys, and to set and reflect on intentions.

The Hive Kitchen
Food plays an important part in a child's day.
For all of us, the warm smell of cakes cooking in the oven and gently spreading all over the house acts like a "madeleine de Proust" awakening powerful memories of our childhood.
At the Hive, we take baking seriously, so this study year a young chef is taking over our kitchen and will be cooking lunch and baking yummy cakes daily, with the help of the children whenever they feel like it.
Our young chef is very passionate about creating healthy meals together and enjoy eating like a big family.
Our cook will be designing cooking classes specifically for the children to introduce them to the fun world of cooking.
Children will have to register in advance as we can only accommodate four or five of them each time.
